Kinds of Educational Game from Java Part 1

 


         In Java, there are some traditional educational games played by previous generations. Here are some examples of education games from Java:

 1. Congklak: a blunt tool is a traditional game played with a board that has small holes and grain for a game. The game involves strategic thinking and basic mathematical skills, because the player must calculate the grain that is transferred.

 2. Dakon: dakons resemble snobs in terms of rules and purposes of the game. The difference lies in the number of holes used in the game. The dakons used a longer board with more holes, and the grain was used differently.

 3. Batik Memory Game: it USES a card with a different batik pattern. The player must match the card to the same pattern at the appointed time. The game helps increase our understanding of traditional batik art in Java as well as visual memory.

 4. Puppets (Wayang Golek Puzzle): the game involves a jigsaw puzzle, a traditional Javanese wooden dummy. Players must assemble pieces of the puzzle in order to form a complete picture of the puppets. It helps develop problem solving skills and enhances the knowledge of traditional puppet arts.

5. Ular Naga: the dragon is a board game played with dice. The player has to jump the boxes that form the snake or the dragon until it reaches its destination. This game helps develop count and concentration skills.

           These games are not only fun, but they can also help improve the cognitive, social, and cultural skills of the players.
